ASTM A193 B7 Thread Rod | UNC UNF All Threaded Rod Bolt

ASTM A193 B7 Thread Rod | UNC UNF All Threaded Rod Bolt

Core advantages of B7 threaded rods

1. High strength and strong bearing capacity

Belongs to the American standard ASTM A193 B7 chromium molybdenum alloy steel, with strength grade for elevation strength bolts. The tensile and fatigue resistance performance is much better than that of ordinary grade 8.8 and 10.9 carbon steel teeth. Suitable for heavy-duty, high-pressure, and high torque connections, not easily broken or deformed.

2. Outstanding high temperature resistance performance

Can be used stably for a long time between -20 ℃ and 450 ℃, and can reach higher temperatures in a short time. Not softening or relaxing at high temperatures, it is the preferred choice for boilers, pipelines, power plants, and petrochemical equipment. The high-temperature strength of ordinary carbon steel decreases significantly, while B7 can maintain stable preload force.

3. Good resistance to creep and stress relaxation

Under long-term stress and high temperature environment, it is not easy to elongate or loosen. Flange connections, pressure vessels, and other critical components are safer and reduce maintenance in the later stages.

4. Stable comprehensive mechanical properties

After standardized quenching and tempering treatment, the hardness is uniform (HRC 26-36). Balance of impact toughness and ductility, not prone to brittle fracture. Stable quality, suitable for batch engineering use.

5. Strong universality and mature supporting facilities

Unified standard: ASTM A193, globally recognized, convenient for replacement and procurement. Can be paired with A194 2H heavy-duty nuts, with perfect strength matching. The metric and American specifications are complete, and the fully threaded teeth can be cut on site for flexible use.

6. Strong corrosion resistance and environmental adaptability

Compared to ordinary carbon steel, B7 itself has better resistance to mild corrosion and stress corrosion. Can be used for surface treatments such as blackening, hot-dip galvanizing, PTFE, Dacromet, etc., to meet outdoor, chemical, and marine environments. The B7M version can be used for acidic conditions containing H ₂ S, with a wider range of applicable scenarios.
