According to industrial testing specifications, irregular oversized samples cannot be directly tested. We adopt professional cutting equipment to process the original fastener and threaded rod samples into standard test size suitable for Rockwell hardness tester, ensuring the sample size meets the requirements of HRC testing standards and lays a foundation for accurate data detection.
Sample surface treatment is the core step affecting test accuracy. After cutting, all test samples need professional polishing treatment. The polished specimen must meet two core standard conditions:
Surface standard: Smooth and flat surface, completely remove surface oxide scale, oil stains, dust and other foreign contaminants, avoid surface impurities affecting hardness indentation and data deviation;
Bottom standard: The bottom of the specimen is flat and horizontal, placed stably without shaking or tilting, ensuring no offset during instrument pressure testing.
After the sample pretreatment meets the standard, start the formal HRC hardness test. In order to avoid accidental errors and improve data accuracy, the industry has formed mature standard detection methods for fastener and hardness testing, with obvious differences in Chinese, German and American standards:
GB / DIN Standard (Chinese & German Standard): Adopt three-point test method for sampling detection;
ASTM Standard (American Standard): Adopt four-point test method with each point spaced 90 degrees apart.
