Horizontal Installation: The load consists primarily of radial and shear forces; consequently, the load-bearing capacity of the lead screw is more significantly influenced by the support units and guide rails.
Vertical Installation: The load is borne entirely by the axial components of the lead screw. Furthermore, factors such as impact and acceleration must be taken into account, necessitating a safety factor 1.5 times higher than that required for horizontal operating conditions.
Operating Speed: High-speed operation or frequent start-stop cycles will reduce fatigue life; therefore, the dynamic load rating must be adjusted based on the rotational speed.
