How to install the implosion drop in anchor?

In simple terms, insert the drop in anchor into the wall or concrete, tighten it, and it can “bite” the material tightly, and it can’t be pulled out no matter how hard you try, and it won’t loosen in the future.

How to judge whether drop in anchor it is installed well?

The drop in anchor is inserted without shaking

After installation, shake it gently with your hand. If it doesn’t move at all, it means that the expansion tube has been expanded and is close to the hole wall.

If it still shakes, it may be that the hole is drilled too big or not tightened

When tightening the bolt with a wrench, it is easier at first, but it will become more and more difficult later, indicating that the expansion tube inside is expanding.

If it is always easy to screw to the bottom, it may be that the expansion tube is not working, or the hole is too deep.

The drop in concrete anchors head is exposed a little, but the gasket is pressed tight

The bolt cannot be completely screwed in, and 2-3 threads (about 5mm) should be left for later inspection.

The gasket should be tightly attached to the wall without any gaps.

Knock it, the sound is muffled

Tap the bolt gently with a wrench or a small hammer. If the sound is “clang” (crisp), it may not be expanded well; if it is “dongdong” (muffled), it means it is installed firmly.

Check after 24 hours, no looseness

Check again the next day after installation. If the drop in anchor bolt is still tight and not loose, it means the installation is successful.

What is considered not installed well?

It is very easy to tighten, no resistance at all → The hole may be too large or the expansion tube is broken
It can still shake after installation → It has not expanded, and it needs to be reinstalled
There is a gap between the gasket and the wall → It is not tightened, and more force is needed
Pull it, and the bolt slides outward → The bearing capacity is not enough, and a stronger bolt needs to be replaced
